Sacred Heart Diet is a seven day diet that involves a healthy soup made of tomatoes, onions, celery and carrots. It was created to help overweight patients lose extra weight prior to surgery.

Then you have the Negative Calorie Diet where the emphasis is on eating food that requires more energy for the body to consume than the calories it actually has. Celery, watercress, cucumber and apples are some of the negative calorie foods.

The Lemonade Diet also goes by the name of the ‘Master Cleanse Plan’. It is a juice fast where you make a drink using lemons, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. This diet can be effective but you have to keep away from solid food for ten days.
